Second Act is a national non-profit that serves professional and pre-professional dancers transitioning to college and secondary careers. Our program supports individuals at all stages of alternative career exploration and development from our first-hand experience as former dancers.

Special Announcement:
The Encore Fund is now part of Second Act!
We’re thrilled to announce that The Encore Fund is joining Second Act to launch our new Scholarships Program. Starting July 1 2025, The Encore Fund will become Second Act’s official scholarship initiative - same name, same heart, new home.

We’re also excited to welcome The Encore Fund founder Shelby Whallon as our new Director of Scholarships. Shelby will continue her mission to support dancers transitioning into higher education, now as part of the Second Act community.
